The women are drawn to them because they are small and light. I have checked with my female friends who owned netbooks, they want to be able to serve the Internet while on the go, and not intending to it for much heavy jobs like website design.

I also found out recently that men in Asia (in Singapore particularly) are changing to netbooks too.

That’s really interesting. I have never even considered users failing to scroll down the page. That’s great for well ranked pages, but for the rest, not so good.

The netbook market share you mention is also something I didn’t know. I wonder why women are drawn to them, rather than men.

Interesting information about search results. I didn’t know women made up the majority of netbook users. My laptop is a 17″, so I have been strongly considering getting a netbook for my very mobile browsing (in the car, at mcdonalds, etc..) and having my big laptop for work/home.

Peope who use Adblocker will get more results in both cases which is good.

Also, you have your pictures reversed in this post. The top pic is for the 14″ and the bottom is for the 10″.. it was a little confusing at first.
