Blogging is a trend that most people are doing now to make money online. A lot of gurus have used blog to reach out to their followers, as well as the searchers online, and they have been recommending to their students or followers that using blog to make money is the simplest and the easiest way to go about. So how do you make money blogging?
Make Money Blogging By Advertising
Google Adsense is an advertising media that marketers are using to market their services or product online. This is categorized under Pay Per Click system, where your readers on your blog click on the word ads shown on your blog post, this is how you can make money.
Pros and Cons of Using Adsense in your blog
Pros- Once you position your adsense in the blog post where they will click the most, it will generate money for you, and best of all it will be passive.
Cons- Direct your traffic to other websites (even if it’s your competitor). Easily get click fraud even if it’s not you clicking. Minimum money earn, some less than $0.05, depending on the niche you are in. And if your website page rank is not in the top 5 ranking, then the Adsense earning will also be lower as well.
Selling related products or services on blogs to make money
You can also find related products online to sell, be it virtual or physical, you will see that when you get targeted traffic to your blog there will always be buyers available. The question now is how to find these buyers?
The answer is keyword research on the niche, find out the keyword phrases people are searching online, and write blog posts title to target these searchers and write content that answers or give solutions to the title. Well I use keyword research pro to help me in finding out the keyword phrases that people are searching online.
Then go to affiliate marketplace like ClickBank or CommissionJunction to find the related product to sell. I would strongly suggest that you have used the product or service, or someone you know have used it before. This way you will be able to sell the product much easier.
Make money blogging by selling your own product or services
This is what most of the online marketer’s dream is, is to have their own products or services to promote online, this is when you have started on selling for others first then start on selling for yourself. Why do I encourage that if you are blogging for money, first sell for someone then sell for yourself?
The main reason is that if you are new to the Internet marketing, you will not have experience in selling, and most properly you do not have any product to sell. So start gaining this experience by selling for others first, this way your chances of you being successful will be much higher.
Make money blogging by selling ad space or blog post in your blog
Selling ad space in you blog is another great way using blogging for money. There are two types of ad space:
1) Banner ads with graphics to attract clicks. This is a very old marketing that is still being used today, and it still works for companies who want to promote their services or products in related blog.
2) Text links advertising. This is using text that has no more than 4 to 5 words that will describe the products or services. And surprisingly, text links advertising has more results (driving traffic) than using banner ads.
The next way is to sell a blog post with links to the one who pays you for the blog post. They will provide the content and link back to their landing page or website. The main advantages for the one who pays you are to get a link back and drive traffic to their site. They will also get to increase in page rank from you (provided yours is higher than theirs).
Be it that you are blogging for money or blogging for fun, you should make consious effort that your blog has to have relevant content, products and services. This way, you will find that instead of losing your traffic, the traffic will buy instead.

A very interesting way to drive visitors to your website is to optimize your images for search engines (less competition in that area). And there are quite some topics, which are very appropriate for image search – for example “hairstyles”. As soon as you have a good position and get some traffic you can place Adwords (or similar) in the upper part of that page with the image (so the visitors see it when they click an image and google loads the page in the frameset.)
