I like to start the ball rolling on this social bookmarking exercise. I like to state the rules of this game so you can understand better and help each other in driving traffic to each other by using social bookmarking.

Rule 1: Each person is to social bookmark at least 10 different social bookmarking sites (if more is better). I will recommend to use OnlyWire service to do your social bookmark sites, one things is that its fast and easy to use. If you do not know what I am talking about, please refer to the past post on recommended social bookmarking tool.

Rule 2: Those who want to do social bookmarking in the group, please leave your URL of the web page on the comment below. Note that only one is allow in each game.

Rule 3: Each and every one who have enter their URL in the comment below, are to social bookmark for the others too. For example there are 29 comment with URL on the comment, you are to bookmark all 29 web page, including yours. On the 3rd day of this post, everyone on the comment are to complete the bookmark game.

These are the three rules for the game, I do hope each and every one of you will participate in this social bookmarking game, as I will be organising on every 1st and 3rdth week of the month.

Previously I shared why we should use social bookmarking for your website, and how to get readers to bookmark your web page. Today I will be sharing on the tools that I used to social bookmark, but before that I will be needing you to sign up 27 social bookmarking sites (you will get a taste of doing the social bookmarking the hard way), and how the normal bookmark procedure goes, where you will appreciate using the tool that will help you in reaching more bookmarking sites in the shortest time.

Here are the social bookmarking sites that will require you to setup before I introduce you the tool, please make sure you sign up all of them if possible, so that it will maximize your web page being link from major social bookmarking sites that will draw traffic to your web page.

Please make sure you remember the user name and password for each of the sites, because you are going to need it.

Now that you have set up the 27 social bookmarking sites, it’s time to introduce you to the social bookmarking tool called OnlyWire. You will need to sign up for this tool as well. See picture below.

You will be brought to another page where you need to fill in your user name, password, email etc. See picture below.

On the same page below, choose the ‘Free Ad Sponsored’. Important: OnlyWire require that you have a website or blog, will they allow you to use their service. Trust me to use this, because you will simply love this OnlyWire tool.

If you do not have any website, you can use a free service blog like https://www.blogger.com/start it will work just fine. See picture below for more direction.

Next is to check the Terms and Condition, and click ‘Start OnlyWire’. See picture below.

Now you will need to place the OnlyWire button to your website or blog within 24 hours. Use BlogSpot.com to start a blog, so that you can use OnlyWire service. When you have started the new blog, you will need to place the button on the blog. Click on For Websites and Blogs. See picture below.

On the new page, OnlyWire will instruct you how to install the OnlyWire Button to your website or blog.

After you have installed the button onto your website or blog, next is to set up your bookmarking site. See picture below.

I have already instructed you to sign up all the 27 social bookmarking sites, these are the sites that will be used in the OnlyWire service. In the next page, you are to fill in all the user name and password of all the social bookmarking sites you just signed up. Remember to save the setting. See picture below.

After you have key in the user name and password of all the social bookmarking sites, you are almost done with OnlyWire service.

OnlyWire provide another very good service is that you can bookmark other website with ease, by adding a plugin into your Internet browser. See picture below.

On the next page, you are to choose which type of plungin for the different Internet browsers. After that, you will be further instructing on how to install to your web browser. See picture below.

After you have install the plunging to your web browser, you are now done, and ready to bookmark the website or blog post you find it useful, funny or unique to you. All by going to the wed page and right click on your mouse, you will see ‘OnlyWire: Bookmark and Share’ as one of the command. Click it and it will help you to bookmark the page to all 27 social bookmarking sites in a few seconds.

Try them now, you will love it! Or you can start bookmarking this post for a try.

Previously I shared why a website or blog need to leverage on social bookmark to drive traffic. But how do you get your readers to bookmark your web page. Now I am going to share how it’s done.

Ask Readers To Bookmark

It is quite simple, all you need to do is to ask your readers to help you. At the end of the web page or blog post, ask your readers to bookmark it on the social bookmarking sites, it can be 1 or 2 sites only. But as long as they did bookmark your web page on the social bookmarking sites, your web page has a vote and have a chance to be feature on the social bookmarking sites. It will basically mean having more traffic to your website.

Here is how you should write to ask your readers to bookmark for you:

“That will be all for today, if you find this post has being useful to you please share with others by bookmarking to the social bookmarking sites you prefer. Use the button below to help you in bookmarking. If you do not have set up social bookmarking account, do comment below or forward this to your friends “

This may sound like you are desperate, but it is okay when you “if” in the request. Because the readers do not have to do it, but it’s only out of gratiude to share with others. There is another more casual way that will help you, and it will not sound like you are desperate as well:

“Share with me your insight on the topic I just shared, I will be listening to you. By the way, share with others on what I shared, use the social bookmarking button below.”

This is very informal and you are there as a friend to your readers, who want to help them. Stephen Pierce has been doing this throughout his blog post, and has been getting good response from his readers. Read Stephen Pierce Blog Here.

Teach and Train Readers To Bookmark

There is a great saying that if you want others to be as successful as you, teach and train them to be like you. Well this saying is from me. (hahahaha) It is very true that if you want your students to as successful as the master, the master has to teach and train the students.

Organize Bookmarking Session

Basically you organize a bookmarking session with some of your friends (twenty the most), to do social bookmarking on each other’s site. This is a gray hat Internet marketing strategy, it is still okay if you do not do this often (once every 2 weeks is fine).

The rule is that each and everyone of your friends will commit to social bookmark every one’s web page, where everyone will get the same number of votes from the social bookmarking.

Please do note that in this session, your content has to be very special and original, so that when others from the social bookmarking sites read on your content, will agree and sometimes vote for you too. If you do not provide good quality and original content, they may report it to the social bookmarking sites about your website.

It took me quite a while to understand what is a social bookmark site. Basically it is like news reporting, but on the latest content on the websites or blogs. Social bookmarking sites help to inform others about your new content and is very interesting to read, thus getting more votes. It is something like the ‘American Idol’, where the public will take part in the vote as well, but in social bookmaking there is no judge, the only judges is the public who likes your content.

Social bookmarking is not just for the content (words) of the website, it can also be use in videos and audios as well, especially if the video is funny, it will get more votes, thus getting more traffic. You can now say that social bookmarking is a voting system of popular sites they find, and they want to share it with the others too, by sing social bookmarking.

So the question remains unanswered, ‘What has Social Bookmarking got to do with my website?’ EVERYTHING! This is an area you must tap into if you  want to drive tons of FREE traffic to your website. When you have reach a certain amount of traffic to your website, the major search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN will be ranking you well because you are bring constant traffic to your website. There is a recognition from the public (using social bookmarking) and search engines (website ranking).

IMPORTANT: 80% ~ 90% of your time must be invested in driving traffic to your website. If you do not do this, I can promise you that your website will not be successful and you will not make money online.

A little history of how we grade people who has singing talent in the past. In the past, there were usually 3 to 5 judges for a singing competition. You can sat that if one of the judges do not like one of the participants, he or she will not be able to make it to the next round of the contest. But now, that almost all the talent contest has a few judges and as well as the public to vote for the participants, the contest is fair to all participants as well as the public.
