A WYSIWYG web editor can let you easily and quickly develop your own website. There are many of these editors available today so be sure to find the one that properly suits your business needs.

All websites are coded using HTML. This language tells the various browser you want your site to be seen by the use of various tags. HTML coding can be a daunting challenge and many people simply don’t have the time to learn it themselves. An editor allows you to create the content for your site without needing to know HTML. This is great for beginners that have no background knowledge in web design.

The premier WYSIWYG editor is Adobe Dreamweaver. This is a highly feature package that supports XHTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, PHP and more. It also offers integration with other Adobe Creative Suite with products including Photoshop.

Microsoft Expression Web is the replacement to Frontpage that Microsoft created to target more serious designers. The package offers many of the same features and standards as Dreamweaver, but is missing the support that was available in Frontpage. As a result it requires a lot of learning as well as costing $300.

KompoZer is an open source editor. The software is free to download and produces a standards compliant HTML web editor. However, it lacks the advanced applications that software like Dreamweaver offers. It does do a sufficient job and includes FTP so the site can go online easily.

Other web editors that worth checking out include SeaMonkey and CoffeCup. SeaMonkey is free and is part of a complete internet application suite as part of the Mozilla project. CoffeeCup has a lot of good features and is a fraction of the cost of many other programs. The package also offers renowned support and free upgrades.

So which is the one suitable for me? You will have to try it out yourself.

Every journey begins with one step and that’s usually the most important step. I want to take you through some simple guidelines to help you create a website. Walk with me.

First you will need a domain name that gives you exclusive rights to use it. It is accessible either globally by internet or internally by intranet. Pick a name that is memorable and identifies with what you are targeting to use the website for. Read “How to choose the right domain name for your website“.

Next is the title which appears at the top of your webpage so again it is important that it resonates with the function of the website. So now you have a domain name and a title for your page. You might want to read on Basic On Page Optimization.

Third, you need to fill in the content and is very vital. It is the information that internet users will come in search of. The layout of the text should by legible and you can achieve this by using paragraphs to differentiate between topics. This enables a reader to ably go through a page noting the contents of the paragraphs. Use common fonts e.g. Times New Roman, Verdana and Arial. These are universally acceptable. Provide variation by using bold letters for the headings and use italics when giving readers the reference material they can use like names of books. Use these sparingly so that the content stands out. Use superscript and subscript where necessary e.g. 1st, 2nd and H20.

Next you need to link up your text this enables a reader to move from one page to another to get more information. To do this you need to make the link and also where the link leads to.

Add graphics and images to the page. Images pass the message faster than text. Avoid using too much color as this will distract the reader. You can use animated graphics to add to the flavor.

Keep your website fresh by updating information and share it with your friends.

HTML makes it possible for people from all over the world to access the documents created on the website. You can create almost anything on the internet by use of this technology. The text is then linked to each other by use of hyperlinks and is accessible to millions and millions of internet users. HTML tutorials are available online but if you don’t want to use those, you can use an editor like Microsoft FrontPage or Macromedia Fireworks. These are sold online or locally. You can also download complete tutorials to your computer. With the downloadable version as soon as the tutorials is loaded to your PC you can access it and get started on creating your first website.

Setting up a HTML website is a move in the direction for someone looking to start doing online business. The information you will have on your website will only be clicks away from the people you aim to connect with. An important factor to note before designing the website is the purpose it is intended for whether it’s a platform from which to sell products online or an interactive website for social networking. You only have 7 seconds to make an impact to the internet user and you need to make it count. Everyone seems to be running out of time with so many things to do in a short span of time. You can help the users save their precious time by having a clear website layout.

The internet can be quite intimidating but only if you let it. The terminology used in programming is actually a lot easier than it sounds so don’t let the big words cause you to back down. What do you have to lose, right? Embrace change and keep an open mind in order to learn as much as possible. Remember the internet is the information superhighway and with the vast range information provided about anything under the sun, you can determine how much or how little you want to learn from it. It’s all there waiting for you tap into it.

When you are designing your HTML website, it helps to look at it from another person’s perspective. Assume you are the one visiting the site and look at it critically. If it is appealing to you, you might want to seek an unbiased opinion from another person. Ask them to make a list of the things that are unfriendly and use that to polish up on your web page. Remember it your web page but the only way you benefit from it is if it appeals to other people too. And to be on the safe side seek the opinion of a few more people but make sure they are part of the audience you are targeting. If for instance you want an HTML website that will appeal to teens, it’s probably not best to seek your mum’s opinion. Keep your audience in mind as you are creating the web page for them to use.

Having a HTML website is almost a mandatory requirement in this time and age. And you are several clicks away from having your own. If you want to use a easy to use, SEO friendly website creator, and lazy to learn HTML codes, you should seriously consider XsitePro 2.

Many of the Internet marketers shut off learning HTML as they feel that it’s alright not to learn HTML as technologies are so advanced now that all we need to do is to highlight the words or sentences, and press the command button. I was like that when I first start off. It was only when I submitted articles to some of the directories that do not have the basic command, which lead me to learn some of the basic HTML coding for my article writing.

You do not have to spend money to get some experts to help, you can learn them in a matter of minutes. I can assure you that by learning some of the HTML codes for your articles, you can help to improve the quality of your articles, making it look nicer and reader friendly for your audiences.

Here are the 8 Essential HTML codes you MUST learn as an article writer:

How to link to a URL or Website Address

http://www.WebsiteMakerNovice.com

Will show http://www.WebsiteMakerNovice.com on your article.

Do note the above HTML code do not open a new window or tap to the URL, instead it will be open in the same window or tap where you are reading the article. It is my preference to always open in new window or tap, so below is the difference:

http:www.WebsiteMakerNovice.com

This new HTML code will be able to open up a new tap for the directed URL to appear.

Using Anchor Text Linking To Website Address

It works the same for the previous HTML code, just that you need to the wordings before the , below are the examples:

Learn To Build Website (No new tap or window)

Learn To Build Website (opens new tap or window)

The link will look like this on the article learn to build website

Linking Your Email Address On The Article

YourAddress@DomainName.com

Will appear as: YourAddress@DomainName.com

One very important note is that we usually do not use this to link to our email address, as the spammers will gather your email address, and start spamming you very soon. A good way is to provide a graphic with your email address on it (not linkable). This will prevent the spammers to get a hold of your email address. Another way is to link to a contact page, where the readers can fill in their details to contact you .

Make My Words Bold

My Words are bold

Will create this : My Words are bold

Make My Words Italics

My Words are italics

Will create this: My Words are italics

Make My Words Underline

Make My Words underline

Will create this: Make My Words underline

HTML code for Bullet Point List

First Para

Second Para

Third Para

Will create this:

First Para

Second Para

Third Para

HTML code for Numbered List

First Para

Second Para

Third Para

Will create this:

First Para

Second Para

Third Para

You can also use them together for maximum benefit for you and your reader. These 8 essentials HTML tips for article writing will help improve your article for readability for your targeted audience.
