Online money makers and every affiliate marketer always want the best affiliate landing page, the page that drives traffic and converts all those leads to revenue at 40-50% with minimal work. Read on, and know what the secret is in converting landing page into a money-making page! Learn how to set it up in auto-pilot to make money even while you sleep!

The secret is the SQUEEZE PAGE!

The first step you is you to create your squeeze page. The squeeze page is the web page that allows people to download a free guides, eBooks, or grant access to information, in exchange for their name and email address. Its is a simple web page, where people enter their name and email address in exchange for the information or digital product they are interested at. It’s a simple page with no other links displayed except the one they’ll get after they’ve entered their name and valid email address. You’ve probably encountered a squeeze page and entered your email address, and after a few days, you’ll receive an email or two about a product that you may or may not need.

The next step is converting landing page into your sales page. With all the email addresses you have, you have now your own market where you can directly send brochures or information about your products. Your next step is to program an auto-responder that will work for you to send product brochures to your email list. Your subscribers are now turned into potential buyers. Run by probabilities and proven statistics, a good percentage of your subscribers may buy your product therefore you’re making passive money. With affiliate marketers offering products at discounted prices, this method convert leads to revenue faster and better than having an actual store.

When creating your squeeze page, don’t forget to put some courtesy on your message to keep it professional. After people have entered their name and email address, you can put a “thank you” note, along with the landing page message “Please go to your email to confirm subscription and activate your access code to your free guide. This way you can verify the email they’ve entered is valid and working. Another trick marketers pull off nowadays is by converting landing page into a sales page. This way, you increase your product exposure instantly and may convert your traffic 3-5% more!

In summary, just by setting up a squeeze page that offers free digital products like e-books or guides, an auto-responder to send product information you’re selling, you can earn money passively with your landing page even while you sleep! You only work once or devote minimal time to run and update it, and you’ll be reaping bucks for days or years to come.

You have decide what is the theme or template for the web page, the header and you have added in the content into the web pages, what you need to do next is to turn the web pages into a website. There are four easy steps to turn web pages to a website;

Naming the web pages

Organizing the web pages

Linking between the web pages

Transferring the web pages

Web Pages Naming

All the web pages for the website will have a unique web address (or URL). Do note some of the rules if you are using HTML files:

1) All the web pages must end with .html or .htm. As it identifies the pages as HTML file.

2) No spaces between naming of web pages. Once a space is found in the name of the web page, the web page will not appear on the Internet. Instead use hyphen for the spaces, so that your readers and search engines spiders can read. Here is a good example name-this-web-page.html. You may also want to place targeted keywords in the URL to rank better. Read SEO in your Website URL.

3) Case sensitive naming. Do note that NameThisPage.html is different from namethispage.html, and it will not help if you have someone typing the whole URL, and most of the people will use lower case. So go for lower case naming.

4) Home page is named with index.html. This automatically tells the browser that whichever has this index.html will be the home page.

You may have created dozens of pages or just a couple pages, so its best to organize the files systemically so that it will be easy for you and your readers to find the web pages. Different individual may have different to deal with this.

Organizing web pages

The web pages that you created can be stored in a folder with related keyword for your niche. E.g: You have a folder named “tips” and you can place the related web pages articles into the folder, and it will look like this www.YourDomainName.com/tips/article-name.html. This way it will be easy for you to find out where your web pages are, and it will be good for SEO as well. You might want to do some serious keyword research first before naming the folders and files. Use Keyword Research Pro: Keyword Software Tool to find out your targeted keywords.

The web pages that will make up the website are stored in folders in your computer before transferring to the web host. So you need to make sure that you place the correct web pages in the same folder, if not it will not appear right to the readers and the search engines. The same rule for case sensitive applies to the folder as well, be sure to use lower case and hyphens as well.

Do note that you can have a hierarchy so that it will look neat and easy to find the pages. See pic below.

So if you have 6 different main section you can create 6 different folders with the related web pages in the correct folder.

Web pages linking

Normal way of linking to web pages is to use the full URL of the web page and link it via anchor text or image. There is another way to link to the other pages, this is only linking to own site pages, its call relative URLs.

Here are example what the full URL look like: www.YourDomainName.com/full-url-name.html

This is what it will look like in relative linking URL: full-url-name.html

Web pages transfer

Now that you have created your web pages, naming them, organizing the web pages into folders, its time to transfer to your hosting. You will need some FTP software like Filezilla and web hosting like Hostgator.

The process is quite simple, thank God I written a blog post on transferring files or folders to web hosting via FTP. You can read about it on the link.

So you have it, a website of your own, once this is done, you are to make sure that the website index the soonest.

I hope to hear from you in the comment below, if you have any questions or additional tips to share. I will be listening.

You may have a website that is a few years old and have page rank of 2 or 3 just because of the age of your website. The reason why Google give you the page rank is because your website is still operating after these few years and still operating business online. After making good money online, you decide to revamp your website to new, better looking design and more effective website. But you do not want to loss your page rank that you build these few years, what can you do? Or you want to use a different domain name that is more targeted to your niche?

One of the best way is to redirect your old URL to the new URL that is SEO friendly. This can be done in your hosting using C-panel. In your hosting under Domain, click “Redirects”. See picture below.

You will be brought to the “Redirect” page. Here you add instruct your hosting to redirect the old URLs to the new one. See below picture.

Here you will need to choose “Permanent (301)”. This is to tell the search engine spider that your URL address has change permanently to the new one. Next is to choose the domain name under the “All Public Domains”. This is the old domain name URL, and type in the URL after choosing the domain name under “old-url”. Next is to type in the new URL at the “redirects to” and click “Add”. And you are all done now.

There is something that I need to share with you, is that once you do the redirect to a new URL, some of the page ranking will be lost. What is the reason that is been lost? Imagine that you have are squeezing a full new toothpaste empty, do you realized that there will be some left in the tube? Its the same situation for the page rank lost too.

Do you know what that is? That is called the Google PageRank Toolbar. A lot of people have been talking about Page Rank for the web page for quite some time now, so I want to voice out what I know on regarding the topic. But before we start, let us understand more by first learn their:

History of Page Rank

Page Rank was first discovered by Larry Page (founder of Google) and Sergey Brin, as part of a new search engine for online users. This later led to the founding of Google. Page Rank continues to be the foundation of Google’s web search tools. And it has never left Google since.

Google’s Description on Page Rank

Page Rank relies on the uniquely democratic nature of the web by using its vast link structure as an indicator of an individual page’s value. In essence, Google interprets a link from page A to page B as a vote, by page A, for page B. But, Google looks at more than the sheer volume of votes, or links a page receives; it also analyzes the page that casts the vote. Votes cast by pages that are themselves “important” weigh more heavily and help to make other pages “important”.

How is Page Rank Calculated?

Page Rank is calculated by using inbound links from a web page to another web page. Example: There are 5 web pages from different websites. If web page A, B and C linked to web page D, and assuming that each page has a value of 0.2, thus the formula will look like this:

PR(D)= PR(A) + PR(B) + PR(C), which is equal to 0.6 for web page E.

This is the simplest form to calculate the page rank of a web page.

BUT, Page Rank is calculated using a voting system to give points to the other web page, and we all know that a web page will have at least two or more links pointing to more than one web page too. So how is Page Rank calculated in this way? Assuming that web page A have two links, web page B have 3 links, and web page C have 4 links, all three points to web page D, and each page has value of 0.2, here is the calculation:

PR(D) = PR (A)/2 + PR(B)/3 + PR(C)/4, the page rank value of D now is 0.166.

You can see that in order to calculate the actual value of your web page is hard work, and Google has done a great job in making it easy for us, by looking at the Google Page Rank tool bar.

Not Every Web Page Has the Same Page Rank in Your Website

For the above reason, that is why not every web page has the same Page Rank, because you can’t control people from linking to you, and you can’t control where the others are linking from. So that is why you should focus on strengthening some of the web page that has the most relevant content or sales page that helps to convert your products or services.

Is Page Rank That Important?

Yes, it is important. It is a social proof that Google take serious consideration so that is why they give your website or blog the ranking you deserve.

No, because you do not know where your link will come from, and they can come from some website that is totally different from yours. And furthermore the keyword that you are targeting may not be converting even if you rank well.

Whatever you do, do not focus too much with getting good Page Rank, and not providing good content or linkage from other websites. Just concentrate on providing content for your readers with keyword focus theme and the Page Rank will come.

Another thing to note is that you do not have to do the Page Rank calculation yourself, because it will not come to conclusion of your Page Rank value, let Google their job and you yours.

If you want to install Google Page Rank Tool, click here to download, it’s free. Or you can always use the Page Rank checker to find out your website Page Rank.

How do you Get a Good Page Rank?

First you will need to be very focus on your niche and only talk about topics related to your niche. So your keyword research must be done correctly, using a good keyword research tool is an essential to your Internet marketing success. Second is to get link from other website that has good Page Rank, in this way you will be able to get a Page Rank fast using others Page Rank. Third is to increase your page views in your web page, you can inter link your web pages, so that it will increase your page views or use other traffic generation methods to get more viewers to your website.

If you have something to share on Page Rank, do comment on the comment box below, and I will be listening. Hear from you soon.

When new visitors visit your site, they will want to know about what your company or you do. They will usually go to the “About” web page to find out more. There are some ways that will help your targeted visitors and you to establish this together:

Introduce Yourself or Your Company

Its like getting to know a friend, instead here is one sided from our part to the visitors. A picture of you or your team or the company logo will be a great place to start. The visitors want to know that the website or blog is look after by someone not something. In a way a picture speaks a thousands words too, do make sure that you are in the best outlook for the picture.

You can write your or company history here too. You will be surprise to see that a lot of visitors will connect with you if you write your history or experiences.

Your Expertise and What The Website Addresses

Another thing you should write in your “About” page are your expertise and what your website address. In this way, your visitors will know whether your website or blog can offer them what they want. The visitors will want to know whether your website is what they are looking for, whether you are offering the solution or information they are looking for.

Why You Start This Website or Blog

This is the part where you tell them reason why you start this website or blog. Usually this is like the mission statement which is sorter version. People will be very interested to know why you start the website, this way it will increase their visitors to your websites more frequently, because you have shown your self to them, making it personnel to them.

Product or Services You Provide

Now comes the rewarding part, where you can make money from giving your visitors by giving them solutions or solving their problems or giving them information. Its good to show them what you have to offer by linking to your product page from the “About” page.

Now that you have an idea what to write in your “About” page, go on now to compose your “About” page using the above points. A word of advice is that you need to be true and personnel to your visitors.

A website needs to have a sitemap for search engines to crawl to your sites, making it easy for them to index all your web pages and they will in turn reward you for making it easy for them. As the previous old school type of sitemap is only a web page that has all the links to all other web pages in your website.

Currently there is a new type of sitemap that is far more effective than the previous sitemap, it is call xml sitemap, and is getting more popular than the previous. Before I introduce the new xml sitemap, let me introduce you to the:

History of Sitemap

As there were a lot of web pages in the world that were not indexed by search engines, Google though of an idea in June 2005 of using a web page that can link to all web pages in the website. That was the beginning of sitemap. Then Yahoo and MSN joined in the sitemap idea in Nov 2006.

Sitemap is based on the “Crawler-friendly Web Servers” for all search engines.

The Beginning of XML Sitemap

As the world of Internet evolve and changes, so has the sitemap format. The XML sitemap is using UFT-8, you can read more on what it is by clicking on the link.

What this does is a more simpler and effective way of generating web page links of the website without webmaster or you to place a link in the sitemap. This is all done in automatic mode.

How to Place XML Sitemap onto Website?

There are a few ways that can be done, I will only recommend using Google Webmaster Tools to do the job. First you will need to sign up for a Google websmaster tool account.

Then to verify your website belong to you, by FTPing the code that Google Webmaster Tool has generated. When it is being verified, click on the your domain name link in Google Webmaster Tools, and you will see ‘Submit a Sitemap’, click the link.

Click ‘Submit a Sitemap’ on the new page, type in the sitemap.xml and click submit.

Now that you have sumitted the sitemap, you must remember the URL for the XML sitemap.

Now you will need to place the XML sitemap on every web page as an anchor text, use ‘sitemap’ as the anchor text. If you are using CSS for your website, place the ‘Sitemap’ anchor text on the footer of the website.

There you go, now you have submitted a sitemap, and as well as placing your sitemap link on your website. This way, Google, Yahoo and Bing will thank you for helping them to find your web pages easier. They will reward you by ranking you well in the search engines.

If you have any additional way to submitting XML sitemap, please share with me and others what you know, I am looking forward to hearing you soon.

A few rule of trump in doing Search Engine Optimization is to make sure your web page is optimized to your targeted keyword, which will help translate to the search engine, what type of audience you want to bring to your web page. Here are some basic on-page rule to look into:

Title Of Web Page

Like what it tells you, title of web page is very important as this is the summary of what your target audience will be finding. In this case, Google is very particular in the title of the web page, as searchers find it most related to what they are looking for. I have heard that the first few words in the title are the most important, and it is true for me as I place the most important keywords in the front of the title. The title is shown at the top left when you open the web page. It also appear as the title when someone searches for related search term. See picture below

Description Tag of Web Page

This is what I think is the second most important in on-page optimization, it is used to describe what your content is all about. This is an area where you need to summarize what your web page is all about. The primary keyword and related keywords must be position here to maximize the relevancy of what the searchers are looking for. This is shown just below the title when there is a search results. Do note that the description tag has the most 160 characters including space to be shown in the search results. See picture above.

Keyword Tag of Web Page

Although this is not as important back when the early Internt started, due to keyword stuffing by the webmasters to rank well in the search engines. You can still use the keyword tag to optimized your keyword for other smaller search engines which are not so sophicated like Google, Yahoo or Bing. Whatever it is, using the keyword tag to position your important keywords are still workable in on-page optimization.

Alternate Tag of Web Page

When you have picture in the web page, it will not have tell the web spiders what this picture is about and when something crops up that the picture is not able to show to the readers, this is what the alternate tag does. It shows the readers and search spiders what the picture is about. Key in relevant keywords to what your web page is all about.

Headline of Web Page

Headline is like grabbing your attention to continue reading the rest of the content. There are basically headline 1 to 6, where headline is the most important among the 6, but is suppose to use once in a web page, headline 2 the most three times in the web page, and the rest of the headlines you can use more than five times. Of course, you can use a lot of times for headline 3 and above, but in order to be rank naturally is to know when its too much.

Bold Wordings of Web Page

A lot of people do not know that by showing the blod wordings in your content to your readers, it also tells the web spiders that this is also an important keyword. Google understands that and it uses it as one of the ways for good ranking.

Content of the Web Page

Here you must remember to write the content for your readers not for search engines spiders. In order to rank well for your content, first write for human readers, then amend the content with the related keywords for your web page. KEI (Keyword Effective Index) is a calculation of your keyword appearing in your content.

If you have done the above to all your web pages, you will find that you will rank well even if you did not do any off-page optimization. What other on-page can you add in that I did not add in? Please fill in on the comment below.

Bookmark it if you like this post...

Landing page is what every Internet marketer should be focusing in. Why? It is because landing page is where the conversion of sales is taking place. You have build incoming links or using other marketing methods like Pay Per Click or Article Marketing, what you must have is a web page that will convert sales or the outcome you want for you.

Here are the ten secrets in a successful landing page:

Secret 1: Focus On Conversion. The landing page only purpose is to convert your visitors to a sale or to give you their information. That is why you must have at least three call to action in the landing page. One the top, on in the middle and one at the end of page. Make sure your call to action is clear and precise, for example “Click Here To Make Purchase Now”, or “I Want To Own It!”, or “Contact Us Now”. Make it as simple for the visitors to understand as possible.

Secret 2: Use Visual To Increase Conversion. Picture speaks a thousand words, with a picture that shows what your product or service is, can help to explain to your targeted visitors what you are selling. As they are humans who also have limited time and attention just like us. Note that if your visuals or pictures are distracting them, you will increase the chance of them leaving the landing page. You might also want to place a link on the pictures as well to the purchasing page.

Secret 3: Single Page Layout. The more simple the web page design the easier for the targeted visitors to go through the landing page. If you have two or three columns in the landing page, make sure that to include testimonies of past clients or special bonus for purchasing the product or service.

Secret 4: Define Your Product or Service Benefits. This is very critical to whether the visitor will stay around longer to purchase or not. You must describe what the visitors will get after they purchase from you. The more clearer your benefits, the sticker your visitors are. If your benefits are unclear and not compelling enough, your visitors will leave for sure.

Secret 5: Customer Confidence Building Up. A lot have been heard of bad customer online purchases, bad experience and even scams. You must remember that the customers run a risk in doing business with you. So how do you decrease the bad experience and increase your product creditability? You can assure your targeted visitors that you have received great customers feedback from the product or service (you can use the testimonies to show to the targeted visitors), or a privacy policies of your company, doing all means to ensure their assurances.

Secret 6: A Compelling And Attention Grabbing Headline. This is one of the most forgotten item in marketing, without getting attention from your visitors, it will decrease the chances of them browsing down on what you have to offer in the landing page. A study have shown that about 70% of your visitors will not look further down your web page, so in order for them to read or view what you have to offer, your headline has to compel them to know further more.

Secret 7: Spit Testing. As we do not know how the visitors think, it is best to test your landing page. You may have to use two different landing pages that have different headline, benefits written in different ways, use different pictures etc. Track one landing page for a week then the other for another week, you will see which has the highest conversation. Use the one that has the highest conversation.

Secret 8: Track Your Conversation! The good thing about the Internet is that we are able to know where and how your visitors come from. Using Google Analytics is a free and accurate form of tracking in Google’s view. It is important to know what is the keyword your targeted visitors used, which web page or website they came from, and which country they are from. With all these details, you will be able to understand and re-define your landing page to increase the conversation.

Secret 9: Re-define Your Conversation Keywords. After you know what are the keywords that land your visitors to your landing page, you are to place the keywords in your content, title of the page and the description tag too. With the right conversation keywords in your landing page, you will be able to rank well for the conversation keywords.

Secret 10: More Linking To Your Landing Page.
It is a well known fact that internet marketers make the most money from their list, so it is essential for you to start creating one for your internet marketing journey to be a success. So how do you create a good squeeze page? Here’s how it is done:

1. Focus on generating leads

The only purpose of a squeeze is to collect names and emails. You are to make sure that you do not alter this purpose to elsewhere. Remember that you are offering them a solution to their problem, sell them the problem, and sell them solution.

2. One niche for one squeeze page

There are tones of different niches out there, even if you are targeting one niche, there may be several sub-niche in the main niche itself. You may have to create different squeeze page for the sub-niche, as they have different terms and keywords in the sub-niche.

3. Headline: Sell or solve

The main purpose of the headline is to get the readers to continue to read the below wordings. You can either sell them the problem, or solve their problem in the headline.

4. Make the squeeze page design simple

It is better if the background is white with black wording, you encourage the visitors to read on what you want to tell them and still maintain the professional look of your squeeze page. Do not add in colourful graphics, simple looking graphic is fine. The colour of the headline and sub-headline can be of different colour, make sure the colour you choose blends well for your squeeze page background.

5. Use psychological words that move them

Use words like proven, guaranteed, proven, absolutely, shocking, truth, etc. Use these words lightly in your squeeze page, spread them around the squeeze page.

6. Call to Action

This is the closing questions, once the visitor reads the benefits of joining your newsletter, or get free ebook. A call to action button is essential for your squeeze page, you may want to place an arrow pointing to the opt in box too, this will increase the chances of the visitor giving you their name and email.

7. Use urgency to your advantage

Time urgency and fear of not losing out are two of the best way to drive your visitor to subscribe to you. Make sure that this is a genuine offer, if not you will lose your credibility. Tell them that this is a limited time offer only, or what they will miss out if they do not take action now.

8. Reveal yourself

Sometimes it is best to show yourself to the readers that you are real, a video in this case will work very well. With you telling them about their problems, what you can give them in return, and a call to action. If you do not want to show yourself it is still okay, your signature will still get the job done.

These are some of the tips for you in creating a squeeze page, and lastly re-read your squeeze, till the whole squeeze page is in a flow.
